District Bio

Clyde Zehr is a missionary and church administrator whose ordained ministry began in 1963. Following sixteen years of training lay leaders for the Korea Evangelical Church in Seoul, Korea, he returned to the states to serve both as district superintendent (4 terms) and general superintendent (2 terms) of the Evangelical Methodist Church.

A native of Kansas, he graduated from the University of Kansas in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree in structural engineering. In 1963, he graduated with a Masters of Theology degree from Western Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon and in 1976, he graduated with a Masters of Business Administration degree from Seattle University. His published works include The Innovator-Administrator Conflict (1977), Study Notes on Leadership (1982), Focus on Effectiveness (1988) and Look Up-Bible Studies on the Return of Jesus (1999).

Rev. Zehr currently serves as the superintendent of the Northwest District of the Evangelical Methodist Church. He and his wife, Leona, live in Seattle.
